Russian prosecutor asks for sanctions for pressure on business
MOSCOW, Jul 29 (PRIME) -- Russian Prosecutor General Yury Chaika said on Friday that law enforcement officers who impose unjustified pressure on business must bear personal responsibility.
“The pressure of the law enforcement authorities on businessmen by unjustified application of criminal law enforcement measures causes real concern. Hundreds of businessmen were rehabilitated pre-court or during trial, while no hawk has been sanctioned for illegal detention, arrest and criminal cases,” Chaika said.
According to the official, the prosecutors’ unwillingness to bring to account the officers who committed these law violations must be punished.
